Overview of case study
The situation
A fire left an entire residential building in Edinburgh uninhabitable overnight. Around 200 residents needed to be found new accommodation immediately, with no warning and no time to plan around individual circumstances such as work, school runs or ongoing medical care.
What PAP did
We sourced and secured 65 properties to house all 200 residents within two weeks, with each property confirmed in under three days. Wherever possible, residents were kept in the same postcode as their original homes, so they didn’t lose access to the schools, doctors, transport links and communities they already relied on. The whole process ran through a single point of contact on our side, so residents and the building’s managers were never chasing multiple people for updates.
The result
All 200 residents were rehoused within the two week window, with the process handled in a way that left everyone involved satisfied, from residents through to the building’s management team. It remains one of the clearest examples of PAP’s ability to move at speed without compromising on location or quality.
